"Backwards"

This means riding a roller coaster when seated facing in the opposite direction the coaster is moving. Sometimes parks will on occasion run a roller coaster backwards by situating the train backwards on the track so the rear car leads. On shuttle coasters, the riders will move both backwards and forwards because the roller coaster track does not make a full circuit.
