"Out & Back"
This is a term that describes a set layout on a roller coaster. This is when the train exits the station and goes outward to a turn, where it heads back to the station. Many times you can see an L-shaped variant of this form where there is more than one curve. The most well known out and back coaster is Shiver Me Timbers at Michigan's Adventure. They often have a helix at the end, but the rest of the course is a normal out and back style.
